A NIGHT TO CELEBRATE THE ART OF TAKING UP SPACE.
From a young age, women are conditioned to believe that we must keep aspects of ourselves hidden, that we must occupy as little space as possible. We are excluded from spaces and been made to feel uncomfortable or that we don't belong. These instances are amplified to a greater extent when including the unique experiences of women of colour, women with disabilities or LGBTQ women. In these experiences, we lose our sense of self and our understanding of what it means to feel free and safe to create, live or dream in your own space.
This year, Mimp Magazine has partnered with Jubilee Luxury Events to celebrate women taking back their space through a night of art, film, music, drinks, dancing and positive energy! Everyone is invited!
Join us for this exciting first event of the year: Our 2018 campaign kickoff party and fundraiser!
Proceeds go toward The Mimp Magazine Creative fund. This fund goes directly to printing/distributing more issues, amplifying the voice of young female-identified artists across the country.
